First weigh in for this blog is 14st 8lbs. Not the worst I've been I don't think, but not the best.
Measurements:- Waist 104.5cm
Chest 107cm
Thighs 59cm
Calves 40.5cm
I understand that these figures will go up and down with weight loss and muscle gain but I think keeping a track on them will help me.
My plan of attack is to start with weight loss with a little bit of exercise. Then as time goes on more and more exercise leading up to a full training regime. So every so often I'm gonna post the details of my weight (aiming for fortnightly) and my measurements (aiming for monthly).
This is my road to completing my first triathlon before my 30th birthday. Follow and support me through my transition from couch potato to triathlon hero. Trust me there will be ups and downs and who knows my journey may help you should you decide to do something similar.

A new beginning...........
So here it is, the new beginning................ We've all been there, nice evening with one of your best mates, talking away, having a laugh. Only this one conversation with my mate ended in me somehow agreeing to join him in a triathlon. Sounds like fun, only this friend of mine is super fit, runs, bikes, likes to try a new challenge every year. Me, I'm the opposite, made up of skin, bones, organs, some relaxed muscle and then some really relaxed muscle (aka fat!). So the idea behind this blog is to help me, step by step, improve myself to the point that I can complete this triathlon. Who knows this might not just help me but anyone else that has a friend like me!
